With the proliferation of smartphones and web review sites, every small business owner knows the importance of maintaining a strong online presence. Outsourcing design work to a talented web artist or firm often makes sense given the complexities of website design and the increased customer traffic that can follow.
A brand new social media company came to me to work on there image and branding design.
I am putting together an initial website, created their logo, and just finished there 1st set of business cards.
Many of you who know me also know that I write speeches and talks, and have done so for many years. It is a real passion of mine, and something I want to do much more of. With that in mind, I have created a new website for branding that aspect of my services.
Please take a look.
I recently started a really fun project for a great company. Kelly Heyn, the founder of SociaLife Event Planning & Production, hired me to create a show stopping marketing piece. We decided on a fold over brochure, and to go with a non-traditional approach. Instead of the hum-drum boiler plate brochures you normally see, I am creating a brochure that looks like a fashion or wedding magazine.
Kelly provided excellent photography, and some great content for me to work with. You can see the front cover below.
Follow this post to see how the project turns out.
Also if you need an event planed or managed in NJ, give Kelly a call or send her an email.
Another word for Brand is Identity. Your brand tells the world who and what you are. It shows the world what kind of organization you have, and its personality. Remember first impression only comes once. It’s so important that you get it right.
Using a professional brand specialist will make sure that everything from your logo letterhead, brochure, and website has a consistent and powerful brand message. It means that you have a unique image presented to the world. A brand creates tells people you are different from the guy across the street that does just about the same thing you do.
If you have a brand, you don't have to compete on price the way you have had to in the past. Think of Starbucks. People do not go to Starbucks because the coffee is such a great deal. They go because the have bought into the "brand", and the image if portrays.
Creating and supporting a brand can personalize a business, and garner brand loyalty. Your friends hang out with you because they like you. I get you can think of brands that you like, and are more likely to transact business with them, than with a competitor that my in reality have an equal or better product. Why - because you like the brand.

The next super or as they are being called now "Hypercar" Ferrari was unvalued at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show.
Here are some of the amazing stats Ferrari gives us on this mix of art, technology, and engineering.
- The body is comprised of 4 different types of carbon fiber
- The engine is a 6.3 liter V-12
- 7 speed dual-clutch transmission.
- Hy-KERS (kinetic energy recovery system) like in their Formula 1 cars
- A staggering 963 horsepower
- 660 pound-feet of toque
As far as performance, Ferrari isn't saying much, but it should do 0 to 186 mph in 15 seconds! The jaw dropping performance owes much to the light weight nature of the car, only 2,800 pounds. That is is amazingly light. Compare it to the Ferrari supercar of the 80's that came in at about 3,500 pounds.
I can't wait for the car to be handed over to the big auto magazines for testing. It is sure to blow the doors off of anything will four wheels.
The Phantom Corsair is a prototype automobile built in 1938. It is a six-passenger coupé that was designed by Rust Heinz of the H. J. Heinz family and Maurice Schwartz of the Bohman & Schwartz coachbuilding company in Pasadena, California. Although sometimes dismissed as a failure because it never entered production, the Corsair is regarded as ahead of its time due to its futuristic features and styling cues such as faired-in fenders and a low profile.
